Another Amazing Fall Retreat

In 1998, John and Linda Alexander, originally from Florida, had a dream and a vision to build and create a small Bed & Breakfast near Oxford, OH. A Victorian design became a country inn setting with a white garden, hence the name White Garden Inn. The new owners are Michael & Katie McNeil, who love the gardens and country setting. The innkeepers are the new owners' daughter and son-in-law, Laura & Quinn Desmond. Some of their delicious recipes are in my cookbook: Maui French Toast, Southwest Breakfast Casserole, Blueberry Stuffed French Toast, and "Cheesey" Lemon Coffee Cake. All very yummy and you must get my cookbook to try them out.

After a long search of the Golden Isles, Chef Zach and Sweet Carrie May, fell in love with the historic town of Darien. Darien and all it offers, is centrally located in the middle of the Golden Isles. What does downtown Savannah,GA & downtown Darien,GA have in common? Both were designed by James Oglethorpe. For Darien, GA, Oglethorpe’s design included the construction of a series of North/South town squares that intersected with a series of East/West town squares. The intersecting square, the Vernon Square, is the home to Open Gates Bed & Breakfast.
