The George Bush Presidential Library is half an hour away and Festival-Institute at Round Top is outstanding. Just South of Round top a few miles is The Jersey Barnyard, a dairy offering cheese made on the farm and home to Belle, the Blue Bell cow. Liendo Plantation, built in 1853 in Hempstead, is available for tours.
