Birgit and Slobo Radin are the new innkeepers.

After over 25 years of leading exciting hospitality careers for leading hotels and resorts across the globe, Birgit and Slobo Radin chose a new path of fulfillment. They conducted an extensive search around the nation for a special Inn into which they could pour their passion for extraordinary service and hospitality.

Originally from Germany, Birgit and Slobo share a life-long love of travel, gourmet cuisine and meeting people from different cultures. Having trained under the exacting methods of European schools and perfecting their individual skills in professional assignments across three continents, Birgit and Slobo now proudly call this lovely Inn in the heart of the Midwest “home.”

While Birgit focuses her energy and talents on leading exceptional guest services and hotel management, Slobo shines in food and beverage conceptualization and operations. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Open-Gates-Bed-Breakfast/553806504680148
http://www.opengatesbnb.com/

And here are the new innkeepers:

hef Zach Rath & Carrie May Aston, or Sweet Carrie May, as Zach likes to call her, make the perfect team to run the historic Open Gates Bed & Breakfast. With Chef Zach’s 20+ years of culinary experience and Sweet Carrie May’s business degree and past experience in the property management industry, they make a dynamic duo.
After a long search of the Golden Isles, Chef Zach and Sweet Carrie May, fell in love with the historic town of Darien. Darien and all it offers, is centrally located in the middle of the Golden Isles. What does downtown Savannah,GA & downtown Darien,GA have in common? Both were designed by James Oglethorpe. For Darien, GA, Oglethorpe’s design included the construction of a series of North/South town squares that intersected with a series of East/West town squares. The intersecting square, the Vernon Square, is the home to Open Gates Bed & Breakfast.
Plus they won the Bed and Breakfast . com showdown of "sweets to beat" with their Sweet Stuffed Crepe Cigars and they were voted Best B&B

A Few Changes to Annabelle B&B

Annabelle B&B Inn in Vicksburg, MS has a few changes and additions!
Meet the people hosts and 4 of the furry unofficial hosts:
http://www.annabellebnb.com/hosts.htm

Annabelle B&B Inn has a wonderful commercial you can watch here:
http://www.annabellebnb.com/ANNABELLE.wmv

If you didn't already know this, you can experience true Southern Hospitality and grace in this impressive Victorian- Italianate residence built circa 1868 and the charming adjacent 1881 Guest House with it’s fifty-five foot long gallery, which overlooks the sparkling swimming pool, the river valley below and the Louisiana delta across the Mississippi river.

The mansion was built by John Alexander Klein, on his Cedar Grove Estate for his son Madison Conrad Klein. The area which encompasses five of Vicksburg’s most important houses, including Annabelle is know as the Historic Garden District.

And Carolyn still serves her famous Lacy Cookies that you can find in my cookbook along with her recipes for Spinach and Feta Quiche, Fig Cake, and Pecan Pizza.

This room looks perfect for having an afternoon cup of coffee or tea.

Inn at Long Lake Closed!

Update on the Inn at Long Lake Bed & Breakfast in Naples, Maine.
Original Post!

A message from the owner: "The Inn at Long Lake is closed. I would like to thank my guests for their support in my years of innkeep-ing at the inn (2003-14). Your patronage has enabled a dear dream of mine to come true. It has been my joy, my privilege, and my honor.
My heartfelt thanks, also, to the citizenry of the Western Maine towns who voted The Inn at Long Lake "Best Hotel/Inn/B&B" for the last 2 years. You've made a good old New England boy very happy in his heart.
My journey in exploring Main Street Home Cooking has not ended---it has only just begun. I believe that hospitality is an ageless gift given within to others. Sharing food with our loved ones is a timeless & beautiful tradition.
I invite you to follow my cooking road ahead on either my INNKEEPERS BLOG through this site or to become a fan of ours on Facebook (The Inn at Long Lake). I look forward to sharing that journey with you!
    My sincere gratitude always,
    Keith A. Neubert"

Sorry to see them close.

Update on Mango Inn

The Mango Inn in Florida has new innkeepers, new recipes and a great Facebook page. They deserve an update!

Nestled on a secluded corner lot, this historic home was built in 1915 and said to be one of the oldest homes in Lake Worth, FL. Casual elegance, privacy and cascading water fountains make you feel as if you are in a private oasis. A full gourmet breakfast awaits you on the veranda overlooking the pool each morning. The inn is a short 10 minute walk to the beach and downtown Lake Worth where visitors will find several wonderful restaurants, shops, antique stores and galleries.  Innkeepers Judi, Deb and Bill hope that a stay at the Mango Inn Bed and Breakfast in Lake Worth, FL will provide you with a peaceful respite from everyday life.

About the new innkeepers:
"There’s a doctor and two nurses calling the shots at The Mango Inn, but don’t let that mislead you. This casually elegant 10-room B&B housed in three structures built between 1915 and 1920 bears not a stitch of resemblance to a hospital. Within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants, the inn has artfully decorated rooms, lush tropical gardens and a pool (breakfast — both nutritious and yummy — is typically served on the veranda beside it). The beach is just a 15-minute stroll away!

Siblings Judi Flynn and Debbie Null are nurses, and Debbie’s husband, Bill Null, is an orthopedic surgeon. Judi, whose ex-husband is a surgeon, and Debbie say both have done a lot of entertaining, so the transition to running a B&B seemed a good idea."

By Mary Thurwachter

Be sure to follow them on Facebook to know what's going on.

You can still get the yummy recipes the former innkeepers, Lindsay & Nancy Richards, included in my cookbook. Be sure to click on the sidebar to order your copy. Lindsay's Fresh Mango Bread, Lindsay's Baked Apple Clafouti, Peach Crepes.

Update on Prospect Hill B&B Inn

Located in “far” northeast Tennessee, Prospect Hill B&B in Mountain City is north of Boone, NC, between the Stone Mountain and Iron Mountain ridges–a dozen miles from both North Carolina and Virginia, with a front porch view of both states. Mountain City, TN, is unique in its small town feel—no T-shirt shops or cheesy tourist attractions. The buildings downtown are 1950s retro (seems like Elvis might drive up in a few). Country roads leading to town are two-lanes and scenery lined. There are fields, farms, lakes and lots forests including Doe Mountain. Over half the county is part of Cherokee National Forest.

Judy & Robert Hotchkiss are the owners/innkeepers:

You can follow them on Facebook and find out what's going on up there!Schedule your visit when they have special events going on or not if you want seclusion!

Ever Heard of "Bird in Hand"?

Mill Creek Homestead & B&B in Bird in Hand, PA

Come to our beautiful Lancaster County setting where you can hear the clippety-clop of horse-drawn Amish buggies and experience the sights and sounds of their unique culture ...while you enjoy the freshness of well-kept farmlands.

One of the oldest homes in Bird-In-Hand, the Mill Creek Homestead is an eighteenth-century field stone farmhouse located in the Pennsylvania Dutch Country in Lancaster County. This was once home to the owner of a saw mill along Mill Creek. Much of the same life-style can still be experienced today due to the Amish influence. Retaining its old world charm, the home has been renovated to provide all the comforts of the modern world. Guests enjoy warm hospitality and solitude. This large eleven-room home offers four tastefully decorated guest rooms with private baths. The grounds are accented by towering pine trees that limit a distant view, but you may see our Amish neighbors working in their tobacco or corn fields or hanging tobacco in the barn to dry, depending on the time of year. Enjoy rocking on the porch and listening to the dippity-dop of the horse and buggies going by. The area abounds with historic sites, museums, theatres, quaint shoppes, quilt and antiques shops, outlet shopping, amusement parks, golfing, fishing, biking, farmers and roadside markets. It is also near Hershey, Gettysburg, Longwood Gardens, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia.
The new Innkeepers are Bob & Lori Kepiro.
