Captain Chandler House BnB Inn in Frankford, Delaware

Captain Chandler House BnB Inn in Frankford

The historic Captain Chandler House is a small B&B offering four exceptional guest rooms (all with private baths and air-conditioning) in a relaxed eclectic setting. This fine old "carpenter gothic" style mansion is located in Frankford, Delaware, a quaint country town just 8.5 miles from the quiet resorts of Bethany Beach and Fenwick Island, DE. Captain Chandler House is an easy 20 minute drive from fine restaurants, nightlife and shopping in Rehoboth Beach or Ocean City, Maryland. On the National Register of Historic Places, Captain Chandler's House is one of Delaware's finest "Carpenter Gothic" Victorians. Constructed as a simple farm residence in the 1870s, the house was extensively remodeled in 1918, by Captain Ebe T. Chandler. In addition to refurbishing the house's interior, Captain Chandler added the enormous verandah complete with stained glass cupolas atop gazebos at either end. Biking, antiquing, boating, bird watching, and many more Lower Delaware's attractions are just minutes away or stay home and do nothing! During the day you can lounge in our secluded rear garden with sundeck, pool and a hot tub. In the evening, our comfortable parlor, den and sunroom offer hospitable spots for reading, a video, good conversation or a nightcap. Our House Coffee is an organic high volcanic mountain grown Arabica bean from Guatemala.
